a Himalayan Valley north of Helambu and Gosainkund,
is a spectacular valley nestled in the Himalaya and is inhabited
by Tamang and Tibetan peoples and provides a glimpse of mountain
life. Trails are straight forward and Langtang Valley beyond the
last habitation to spectacular remote mountain areas, taking various
side trips. There is high pass, the Ganja La, which links Langtang
with Helambu and is the closest region to Katmandu. Dunche was the
traditional starting point for the trek. But with the new construction
of a new trail from Byabrubesi 4650fts/1417m , it is possible to
cut about a day off the usual trekking time.
