Drive to Tingri (4342m/8 hrs) crossing
two passes Nyalam (3800m) and Lalung La (5050m) with excellent
views (weather permitting) of the lofty Himalayan peaks including
Mt. Everest. Overnight at Everest Hotel. |

Drive from Tingra to Xigatse (3900m/8
hrs) crossing two passes Lhakpa La (5200m) and Tsuo La (4500m).

Monastery and Xigatse Market. Afternoon drive to Gyantse (3950m/3
